Dealer/Contractors - These are companies that install lightning protection systems, and at least one member of their staff has passed the four LPI Master Installer tests and has advanced knowledge and skills in this specialized trade.

Affiliates - are also companies who install lightning protection systems, however, they do not have any employees who have achieved the LPI Master Installer certification level.

Manufacturers - are full manufacturers of all materials and products used in a complete lightning protection system. They have system design capabilities and associations with installers.
